Gabriela Ostolaza is a San Francisco-based fashion designer working across ready-to-wear, performance apparel, and experimental design. A graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology and recipient of the Amy Krotzer Award in Draping, her work bridges conceptual fashion and commercial product through cultural research, material exploration, and a distinctive approach to silhouette.

Early in her career, Gabriela established her eponymous New York-based label, exploring what she describes as “conceptual kitsch” through sculptural forms, unconventional materials, and the relationship between fashion, art, and underground culture. Her work has been featured in international publications including Teen Vogue, PAPER, and W, alongside creative projects connected to artists such as Lady Gaga and Rihanna and collaborations with labels including Hood By Air and Nicopanda.

Her practice has since expanded into commercial apparel design, spanning women’s RTW, licensed collaborations, and brand development. At Dolls Kill, she designs across in-house brands and licensed collections, including the launch of Generation Kiss, the company’s first in-house denim and fashion brand.

An avid endurance cyclist, Gabriela brings firsthand experience as an athlete to her growing focus on activewear and technical apparel. Through material exploration, functional design, and digital garment development in CLO 3D, she explores how performance-driven product can be informed by a fashion-led perspective.
